San Gimignano
DAYS 1-2
Relax in Enchanting
San Gimignano
We start in the heart of Tuscany, at a beautiful castle-like hotel on the outskirts of San Gimignano. Imagine a rustic Italian setting, with tall cyprus trees, birds singing and a medieval towered city in the distance. Here, we will rest for a few davs and enjoy fine prosciutto and wines produced by Alessio, the owner of Campo della Pieve Winery. After basking in the heat of the Tuscan sunshine, cool off by dipping into the refreshing pool.
In the evening, when a gentle breeze fills the air, we will go to the center of San Gimigna-no. There, we will enjoy local food and gelato.
Firenze
Day V
Florence - Delve into Artisanal
Chocolate and Gelato
Florence - the city of artisans. Take part in a demonstration in the art of chocolate making. Visit a fine chocolatier and taste his heavenly creations! If you are of a mind to shop, the vendors at the San Lorenzo market showcase fine leather goods crafted by hand in Tuscany.
Feast in the evening on pasta with wild boar sauce at a fine trattoria. Return to San Gimignano.

DAY VI
Wine pairing in San Gimignano
We will spend a relaxing day back in San Gimignano. Take some time to stroll, soak in the culture and learn some Italian. In the hotel's Enoteca Room, we will have classes in pairing local wines with food and gelato.
Siena
DAY VI
Partake in the Excitement of the Palio di Siena
Siena, city of ceramics, beautiful architecture and a medieval horse race. We will meet one of the local contrade (parishes) of Siena. Each parish has its own horse which runs in the race, the Palio, held in the medieval square. We'll have a typical Sienese lunch and study up on the different horses of each contrada. Then we are off to the Palio where we will take our seats in the magnificent Piazza del Campo to watch a medieval pageant followed by the horse race. Afterwards, we'll view the winning horse and jockey parading by on a side street as we feast on hand made bread and artisanal sausages. That night we return to San Gimignano.
Montecatini
DAY IV
Luxuriate in the Terme di Montecatini
At the famed Montecatini Spa, soak in the natural thermal baths, have a treatment, and drink of the famous water that restores your youth. In the afternoon we'll take the Little Red Tram that climbs up the hill to the top of Montecatini and enjoy the breathtaking view. In the evening, we travel to Florence to stay the night.
Chianti
DAY III
Delight in a Wine Tasting Tour in
Chianti
Off to Chianti where the emerald and golden hues of the Tuscan hills beckon.
Idyllic wineries spread across the foothills and valleys and after breakfast you will venture to the first of a selection of celebrated wineries in Chianti. These wines will be paired with the gelato of the region. In the evening we will dine at a the wonderful "Osteria della Ciccia" where the meat is the best you've ever had.

DAY VIII
San Gimignano, Depart for Home
The beauty of the medieval alleyways of Siena and the peace of San Gimignano will replay in your mind at breakfast. Walk in the beautiful hotel grounds, take a dip in the pool, capture of photo of San Gimignano in the distance. After one last morning to enjoy it all, it is time to return home.
